510517 This Ginny is dressed as Gretel from the 1953 Twin Series #34 shown on page 102 of the Collector's Encyclopedia of Vogue Dolls by J. Izen and C. Stover. The label in her dress is the silk with just "Vogue" on it. This is the 1952 label according to the book. She wears a lovely white organdy dress with printed on white flowers. The skirt has an overlay of see-through ribbon that shows through to the printed white-on-white fabric below. The ribbon is see-through with metal stripes of black and gold and silk stripes of white and pink that makes for an interesting addition to the skirt portion of the dress. There is a pleated ruffle of net at the end of the sleeves and at the bottom of the skirt. She has rose a colored waistband and suspenders and decorative ribbon in rose, green and pink that fall from the waistband over the skirt. Her hat is maroon faux velvet with net trim and roses. She is marked on the back VOGUE DOLL, she has her hair braided with pink ribbons holding the ends. She is wearing white center snap shoes with white silk stockings. The white center snap shoes are new replacements, but are very well made. It is difficult to snap these closed as they seem to be a pinch too short, but I did manage to get them closed. The eyelashes have turned slightly. I think she is meant to have light brown or blond lashes because of the blond hair, so the change does not look bad as they are very light. There is a spot on the left cheek. She has her original underpants that match the dress fabric. The elastic in the underpants has stretched out a bit. Overall she is in good condition. Her outfit is in nice condition, very crisp with no rips or stains. I have also listed Hansel on eBay at this time, and one picture shows the two twin dolls together, but only Hansel is for sale with this auction.

510515 Pretty Ginny doll dress princess style with flared skirt with white rick rack trim on the skirt, neckline, and on the matching pants. This is a nice aqua print. My pictures tend to show it as a darker blue with yellow discolorations, but it really is a pale aqua on white. It looks a little like a tweed print or paint brush strokes. It is very nice and crisp with no rips or tears. There is a single white snap for closure in the back with a high neckline in front and "v" neckline in the back. None of the Ginny books that I have show this outfit it color. The only place I see it is on page 145 of the Collector's Encyclopedia of Vogue Dolls by J. Izen and C. Stover. This is a group of 25 tiny black & white pictures that are hard to see the details. The dress at the top left looks exactly like this, except it is a polkadot print, rather than the tweed look I mentioned. It does have the same short sleeves and rick rack trim, plus is a princess style dress with flaired skirt, outfit # 1303 from 1958. The dress at auction here has the cotton tag, 1957 to 65 with just the Vogue Dolls Inc. stamped on it. Very often they changed the fabric in the same dress, or often just the color. I think that is the case here and that this is the same #1303 with a different print.

006017 Very nice Ginny from the 1977 series by Lesney. She is wearing a dress I have not seen in any of the books. The top is a brown and white check with an attached skirt of brown faux suede with suspenders and gold buttons and a matching shoulder strap bag. She has long dark brown hair and brown eyes. It looks as though part of her hair had been pulled back with an elastic or barrette which is no longer there. Other than that she is in very good condition.

006118 International Ginny Series 1977 by Lesney with painted eyes. This is the Austrian girl for the series and I have also listed the boy to the set in another listing. Her head is marked 1977, but the body is 1972 (an older body). She wears a blue calico skirt and head scarf with white blouse and apron and red vest with applique roses, black shoes and long stockings and red ribbons on her braids. She is complete and her only problem is some fading on her outfit.
